We finished hurricane prep at 0838 this morning. At 0530 Clay took the plastic off the hoophouse. I’m not sure why it made me so emotional but it did 🤷🏼‍♀️ The plastic is folded ~ it took a couple of tries to fold it without it rolling on itself ~ and safe in the flower shed. The are snug in the ground. The Anenome and ranunculus corms are with me in the house. The lilies and sunflowers are in the flower shed. The harvested flowers are in the cooler. Lights are turned out. Well is turned off. Fans are removed from the naked hoophouse. Thank you a million times to our crew for making sure the farm is bundled up snug. To my brother and SIL for coming over this morning and helping with the last minute stuff. And you guys who live far away but check on us and keep us sane thank you. You all mean the world to us!Everything that can be done has been done. Now we wait.

The flowers are showing off tonight at Food Truck Friday tonight until 10pm. We are across the street from and in front of Baby and Me Boutique Come for the flowers and stay for the awesome vibes, super yummy food and amazing vendors 💕

The Best In View Gala is about celebrating the people, businesses, organizations, and talent that make our community what it is, and this year, we would love to showcase even more of that creativity throughout the evening.

We are inviting local artists to display their work at the 2026 Best In View Gala. Whether you paint, draw, photograph, sculpt, create mixed media, or work in another visual art form, we would love to hear from you.

This is an opportunity to have your work seen by hundreds of local business owners, community leaders, entrepreneurs, city officials, and residents while being part of one of our community’s biggest nights of celebration.
