I know you’re not supposed to pick favorites, but this girl is such a lovable brat, I can’t help it. She’s definitely the chattiest goat I have and talks back and forth with me 😂

What’s in your garden this year? Seems like we’re always pressed for time in the spring to get seeds in the ground. Warm weather makes for a lot of work up here on the hill.

Not only did the fence need to get replaced before planting, ALL of the posts were rotted out. Gotta keep the goats out 😂 and still working on laying the landscaping fabric and mulching.

This year I’ve got:
Tomatoes 🍅
Cucumbers 🥒
Lettuce 🥬
Carrots 🥕
Radishes 🫜
Zucchini
Broccoli 🥦
Green beans 🫘
Peas 🫛

And still need to plant more..

Did you know the odds of finding a four leaf clover are roughly 1 in 10,000? (Yes, I had to look that up 😂) clovers typically have 3 leaves, and finding one with a fourth leaf is actually a genetic mutation. How cool is that?

Should probably go buy a lottery ticket 😂😂

The past week and a half has been a busy one, not only did 4 bucklings join the farm, Turkey poults have also made an appearance 🦃

Now, why raise turkeys? Turkeys provide both meat and eggs. But my favorite, is they will also be a huge entertainment! They’re friendly and love to greet guests and I’ve even seen them gobble at the dad jokes 😂 .. definitely trying this out when they’re older!

They’ll also be guardians for the chickens, as they are quite observant of their surroundings and are quick to sound the alarm. Whether the predator be on the ground or in the sky. So their presence is definitely needed. I’m excited to see how they grow and mingle with the goats as well!
