What do you call that pretty pepper garland? It's a ristra.
A red chili pepper ristra is a string of fresh chili peppers tied together and hung to dry, serving both as a decorative element and a source of dried chiles for cooking. We are making Cayenne ristras and Thai ristras. 🌶️🌶️🌶️

Fall has taken over the garden quick. We have the late season champs still growing strong. Peppers, potatoes, green onions, and fall radishes are still in the garden. Winter squash is in season. Sadly, the summer beds of tomatoes, zucchini, green beans,and cucumbers are gone till next year.

Delicata XL - At first, I wasn't sure what to think of these gourds. I had planted a row of delicata and spaghetti squash next to each other. These guys look like a cross between the 2. Last night I cooked one and... they taste great! Definitely a delicata though the skin is really tough and I would not recommend trying to eat the outside. The inside is delectable. Seasoned it with rosemary, oregano, onions and thyme with some avocado oil before putting in the oven. Cooked at 400 degrees for 55 minutes. Highly recommended. Delicata XL (who knew?)
