Introducing: Lydia!
It's the International Year of the Woman Farmer, and we've welcomed a new face to the farm!
Through the Dairy Grazing Alliance, we've taken on an extra set of hands to grow our grazing program!
Lydia has a degree in agriculture, but didn't grow up on a farm. Having just brief experiences on a goat and a cow farm prior to arriving in Wisconsin, she's gaining confidence in her farming skills (animal care, pasture management, facility upkeep, bookkeeping, equipment operation, cropping, etc.) with us. We're loving the collaboration and fresh ideas she's bringing - so it's a win-win all around!
Just proof that the world needs all types of farmers - women definitely included!

Avery decided it was a good day for a treasure hunt recently! There no telling how long this bike has been in the weeds, but now it's likely to live in Avery's growing pile of random stuff at the farm 🫣

A milk mustache is always in fashion when hanging with fellow farmers at a
Dairy Farmers of America, Inc. meeting.
We were given 20 minutes and 3 random topics (milk, celebrities and mustaches) and were talked with coming up with a reel for social media. Here's our final product!
