It’s been a little while since I last introduced myself, and there’s lots of new people following now— figured it’s time for a new intro post. 🥰
Hi, I’m Eva! I started my little home bakery last May, and it’s been such a whirlwind of growth ever since I took that chance on myself! I’m married to my wonderful husband, Donny, and we have three kids who are 4, 6 and next week 11 years old(kind of rude they grow up so quickly😭) as well as a 6 year old dog!🥰
I’ve always had a love for baking, and even helped my mom with her bakery back when I was 14-15 years old! Last year I made my very first cookie cake for my husbands birthday, and I had so many people asking if I could make one for them… so I decided I’d try my hand at starting my own home bakery!
For the first around 5 months, all I did was cookie cakes— along with the occasional experimental buttercream decorated cookies and some other desserts. On Halloween I made my first decorated cake, and boy was that a learning curve, but I have grown to really love doing those more than anything! Then in January I made my first royal icing decorated cookies, and I’ve never stopped learning new techniques and ways to improve them.
Back in August of last year, I left my full time job to do this “full time” and be home with my kids, and it was the best choice and biggest blessing! My kids an husband are such huge supports and love seeing all the things I create.
I grew up in Sauk Prairie and graduated from there back in 2015, moved to Stevens point for a couple years and then came back home. 😂 Now I’ve lived in the Baraboo/Dells area for the past almost nine years and have loved it!
I love seeing how many other bakers are in our area, and how we all can be so similar yet so different. There’s something for everyone in the area— whether it’s decorating style, recipes or price points. I’ve gotten a really great little friend group of local bakers and it’s been so nice to have that support system for us all!
Thank you all for being here, and for all the continued support of my bakery. I genuinely love what I do so much, and I love that I can help support my family while doing something I enjoy so much. 🤍
