13 days! ❤️ Debating on if we should clean the goat house(where she’s going to give birth) next weekend or wait a little closer a day or two before her due date on Feb 4th🤔
For the passed few weeks I’ve had at least 3 dreams about my girls giving birth. Last night I had a dream that Zelda gave me a red doe with moonspots even though I know that color possibility will not happen between Zelda and Jasper haha! I have baby goat fever so bad😅❤️
15 days!❤️
Photos from Bella Notte Farm's post
Now we can see that udder! Not too shabby for my first time shaving a goats butt! 19 days!❤️
Uhh Trinket dear? You do realize you still have like 76 more days right?😅
100% will be me!😅
😍😍😍
😆
I really hope this winter stays between 40-50 degrees like it’s been for the past two weeks😅
Welcome to the equestrian lifestyle 😂

"Ode to the feral women”
“My soul is not set fire by being the best home maker but by growing flowers and plants, shoveling dirt, snow or manure, breathing the cold fresh air, letting them sun beat on my face, and tending animals.
It is not that I can not cook and clean it’s that I desire to be else where.
I’ve struggled with the fact that I am well me. I am a feral woman. As much as I wish I could be the sweet and clean home maker, I am
not.
I finally made peace with this when I saw a quote circulating around that said,
“the term domesticate house wife implies there must be a feral one”
It’s me and other women I know. I am and we are feral women.
We may not have perfect houses but we still make them a home. We may not clean the dishes right after every meal but we can sure cook a good meal. The laundry is lagging but at the end of the day everyone has something clean to wear. We may not be domesticate but it does not make us less.
If anything our strength is found as we carry feed sacks across our shoulders,as we till up dirt to plant gardens, as we end a life to provide food for our families all while we still carry the softness of a woman.
Here is to the feral women. May we be them, may we know them, may we raise them.”
Author unknown, but clearly a bloody marvelous woman.

There’s that udder! The plan this weekend is to shave her backend and that hairy little udder❤️
Haven’t posted Jasper in awhile! The handsome stud is doing just fine and dandy!❤️
27 more days!❤️
How crazy I must’ve looked to the cashier when I brought these to the counter at 8 o’clock at night. Yah know? Just some last minute goat kidding supplies😅
So excited for these kiddos! Bucklings from both Zelda and Trinket will be available! Retaining all doelings❤️
Here’s how Trinket’s looking! 12 more weeks! Beautiful as always! I just wish she would let me love on her💜
Getting there! She’s definitely learned when she see’s me my cold hands are going straight for that udder so now she’s running away from me. Zelda girl you better get used to it🤣❤️
Being pregnant is so rough. The girls were so hangry today😅❤️
Take my word for it, Zelda is definitely starting to form an udder! She’s by no means bagging up but her teats are getting bigger and the area where her udder will be is getting soft and swishy. I noticed it this weekend and since then it’s getting bigger everyday. I’m so excited to see her FF udder❤️
Hard to tell cause she’s so fluffy but Zelda’s udder is started to form❤️
Just a little over a month to go until our first kiddos are born! Zelda along with Trinket and Jasper have been given their annual CD&T. In the next few weeks we’re gonna give her back end and udder a shave, clean out the goat house, and start getting my bag together with birthing supplies. Still debating if I should video the birth or not. What do y’all think?❤️
Oh man I think we’re getting close! First picture was from December 6th and the other was taken earlier today!🫣❤️
Zelda is going to the vet next week! Don’t worry there’s nothing wrong with her! Just a general exam so we can get a prescription for BoSe for the goats before they give birth❤️
❤️
ENTRIES ARE CLOSED! Winner will be announced shortly :)
Happy New Year!
Finally came out to explore the snow!❤️
Got a heat lamp up so the trio stays nice and warm tonight! Jasper and Trinket are snuggled up while Zelda is of course eating and totally unbothered❤️
Made the goats a DIY insulated water bucket for this cold front we’re getting soon to keep their water from freezing. Layers of bubble wrap, straw and duct tape all around. Gave them some warm water for the night too! I hope it works!🤞🏻❤️
Baby kicks?🥺❤️
Jasper’s job is all done so back in his pen he goes! Now the girls can relax, eat, and grow their babies❤️
Happy 1st Birthday Trinket!❤️
Facts.

Jasper’s new house is all finished! Just in time with us getting Tiny Dancer (Trinket) so Zelda can have a buddy and have Jasper’s babies together! He will be perfectly fine by himself. He can still see the ladies, flirt with the ladies and hang out with them❤️
My super smart 3 year old stepson is trying so hard to convince his dad and Mimi to give him money for a new goat! I love this kid❤️😂
Just a short video of me putting together part of the new goat house. My phone cut the video off short unfortunately. Realistically I had no plan and was working with whatever wood we had in the barn and the only tools I felt comfortable using which is just the drill and saw. I’m pretty proud of myself for getting majority of it done by myself❤️
Hoof trims for the kiddos❤️ Did Jaspers last week but he needed another touch up to take off a little more. Had to cut the video of Jasper short because he decided to jump out of the sling but I got him back in and finished the trim. Zelda was an angel for her hoof trim as always. Just chewing away at her cud and falling asleep❤️
Finally getting my herd record binder together! Figured I should fill it with goat health and emergency spread sheets so I can be prepared for anything❤️
We are definitely in the rut season here. Hopefully we will see some babies next year. Gonna keep an eye on Zelda to see if she goes into another heat cycle or not. If not then she’s possibly pregnant and we’ll get a confirmed pregnancy from a vet. Stay tuned for updates❤️
Found out who’s been bunking with the goats for the past couple weeks. Unfortunately we have a zero tolerance for animals that are a potential threat to our goats. The last thing we need is a raccoon possibly wounding one of our goats or baby goats in the future. Even if he wouldn’t, I’m not taking that risk. He will not be coming around anymore✌🏻
