My little trick worked for Hive 1 and they’re drawing comb in the honey supers! They still have a little bit of work to do, but I think they’ll be able to fill out the remaining supers (2 more to go) before the first frost!

A tale of 2 Hives 😅
Same hive set up, different results. After about 10 days Hive 2 built nearly 10 complete frames of comb on bare foundation and Hive 1 didn’t do anything. Hive 1 got a small setup adjustment to encouraging comb building and Hive 2 received a second honey super!

Lots of things happening at the farm! Hay was cut and the bees are loving their new boxes! In a week’s time they’ve drawn out comb for 80% of the bare frames and the queen is laying eggs in them!

Leveling Up!
Both hives got an upgrade with another deep hive box! The colony population really exploded the past week!
