I enjoy helping out our County Fair Exhibitors. I know the work that goes into their Fair projects and I am happy to help by bidding on their projects at the small animal Auction. Its something I learned from watching Patrick. Patrick loved walking through the barns to find different young people to support at the auction. He would strike up conversations during the week and quietly watch how they took care of the projects, interacted with barn leadership and their peers, family, and friends. During the auction, Patrick would sit and wait to be a back up bidder to get the amount up to at least $125 to $150 a cage. He then would bid on a few of the kids who really stood out to him. I still try to honor that 7 years later by saving and planning to help a few other kids have a successful auction experience. Each of these and another 24 birds will be going to area food pantries to help feed those who need a hand up. Paying it forward
