I have to give a huge thank-you to one of my biggest supporters and fans — my little brother ❤️ He had these gorgeous embroidered towels made for me, and I absolutely love them! It means so much to have family cheering me on and supporting this crazy little farm dream of mine. 🐔🐮❤️

🐔🔥 We may have just discovered our new favorite way to cook our Frey Chick Farm chickens!

I put two of our smaller hens on the smoker and let them slow-smoke for about 2½ hours… and WOW. 🤤 They came out absolutely gorgeous!

But what really surprised me was the flavor and texture. The meat was so much more dense and flavorful, while somehow being incredibly juicy and tender at the same time. There was just a noticeable difference from the chicken you typically find at the grocery store.

Needless to say, we’re doing another batch! 🔥

Next time, we’re going to try it with one of our meatier breeds and see how they compare. I have a feeling we’re going to be very happy with the results!

This is exactly why we love raising our own food — you get to taste the difference. ❤️🐔

A Huge Thank You! 🐔❤️

We just want to say a HUGE thank you to everyone who supported our very first round of Frey Chick Farm chickens! Whether you purchased chickens, shared our posts, encouraged us, or simply followed along — we truly appreciate you!

This first round has definitely been a learning experience. I can honestly say I made several mistakes along the way (probably more than I’d like to admit 😂), but that’s part of learning something new. You learn, you adjust, and you keep moving forward!

And that’s exactly what we’re doing. Our next round of birds is already here and growing, and fingers crossed 🤞, we should have chickens ready around the beginning of October!

Thank you for supporting our little farm and allowing us to learn, grow, and share this journey with you. We’re excited for what’s ahead! 🐔🌱❤️

Scientist by day....chicken marketer by night.🐔

I'm learning that raising chickens is a lot easier that marketing them! 😂 So I'm trying to leave my work hat at the door and embrace my inner farm marketer.

Summer’s heating up and it officially time for Christmas in July!! This is our pet turkey and his name is Mr. Christmas!! 🎄☀️

Now this little guy is the flirtiest bird you’ll ever see. Anytime you’re out in his pasture he will find you and circle you, flaunting his fan of beautiful feathers. 🪭🤭
