Most recently, after an appointment in Houston, my daughter and I stopped at a newer Mexican restaurant, “La Cocina De Lulu” in Baytown. Their coffee is authentic Mexican, made with “piloncillo y canela.” Dining out has become far in between, but worth it when I get excellent service and “comida sabrosa.” Provecho, bon appetit and enjoy your dining outings. We still have to support small businesses. 😋😋😋

Welcome new followers! Bien venidos. I’m trying to post often; but eating out comes at a cost, and cooking/preparing a meal for one might encompass toasting a good slice of bread with an egg for a meal. Mind you, I’m not starving or on a diet, but managing a budget for one is a concern, and I’d rather save than spend, just in case of an emergency creeps up. Even eating in, costs as meat prices, are sky high. At any rate, provecho, bon appetit, and enjoy wherever you eat! 😋😋😋

Eating out has almost come to a screeching halt, except for the fast food chains I frequent, at least once a week! But today I cooked a quick fideo with chicken thighs, and refried some homemade beans. Can’t wait to dig in. My kitchen smells tantalizing! 😋😋😋

I had an invite to try Sushi at Evic’s in Deer Park! First of all, it was so pleasant and inviting, as well as “je ne sais quoi,” calming. The dish was tuna and crab and a side of seaweed salad with a refreshing Jarritos lime drink, what a combo, but delicious. 😋😋😋
