Happy Memorial Day to everyone. This year I’ve come to realize that patriotism, the flag, and America itself don’t belong to any one party — they belong to us, the people.

So many have fought and lost their lives protecting the freedoms we often take for granted: the music we enjoy, the jobs we pursue, the friendships we choose, and the bigger freedoms too — like voting, speaking our opinions publicly, and living life according to our own values.

I know there’s a lot of passion and division coming from every direction right now, but this Memorial Day I choose to honor those sacrifices by focusing on raising our babies to love themselves and love others just the same.

Humanity is one, and America is great. Thank you to those who served and their families.

Baby Tie Breaker is a BOY!! He made his debut on Monday during this crazy snow/ice storm. Amelia and I were milking goats at 2pm and he was born at 4:35pm. We are very fortunate to have had another successful home birth. Our midwife made it to our house only 20 min before this little guy arrived, what a relief it was to see her car pull in the driveway! We're still ironing out his name but that doesn't stop the heartwarming newborn snuggles with the fam since big sister and big brother are in deep love and mom and dad's hearts are overflowing.

One goat momma had 3 baby girls! With negative degrees in the forecast at night these little ones have been moved to a warming box to stay safe 🥰
