Cedar Creek Farm & Fiber

Cedar Creek Farm & Fiber We are a small, family run farm nestled in Beavercreek, Oregon, where we raise Romeldale and Romney sheep.

All our fiber is processed right here on the farm, by hand and with care. We believe in keeping things natural, unlike commercial processors.

Count down the Black Sheep Gathering. Buckets, feed pans, hay nets, and halters all cleaned up ready to go. Fall lambs getting bellied today (I tried back said no way) will get them fitted this week. More to do in Wool House to get that ready. Let the fun begin.

Let the chaos begin. CIDRs pulled on Romneys and Romeldales, marking harnesses ready, PG600 given to Romneys. 🤣

Well this was not on my bingo card for this year. I had a very young ram lamb 5 months old in with the rest of the lambing group why because he was a lamb. I've had 2 ewes lamb in the last 2 days which means they bred back after 60 days to ram lamb. Romeldales keep you guessing. 1 set of big health twin ewe lambs from younger ewe a a tiny single from older ewe. Tiny Tina needs a little looking after as momma has big ni***es but she is doing just fine.

Yesterday at High Desert Wool Growers Fiber Market Day Bentley entered a raffle (his luck is better than mine). He won a blending board donated by Rogers Mill. I started using it to make rolags. Just having fun. Could use all the tips and tricks you have.
