Such a great bloodline! The last group from this bloodline dressed out at almost 1,200 pounds for 6 of them. I’m excited to see what these new ones turn out to be like.

Fresh pork for breakfast. Changes things up a little knowing that this is the product of all of the hard work put into raising your own pigs. Out of the first group we raised from piglets, we got 198 pounds of meat from one and 179 pounds from the other. 2 more scheduled to go off in a couple of weeks. Let us know if you might be interested in a half or whole butcher hog!

In January we took a chance on raising pigs. The twins were 10 weeks old, it was in the middle of winter, and the beginning to the wild pig stories that we would have. These are 2 of the original 6 Crows Way Farm have raised. Rather pleased with how they turned out. Now they’re off to fill a freezer come Monday.

Yesterday Kentley helped build a Self-Service stand to sell some of her eggs out of. With time we might add some additional items to the stand. Might even add an occasional loaf of banana bread, homemade cookies, or cupcakes.
