Peekaboo!
Babies are escaping their boxes and driving their mothers nuts 🤪🥰
I was a little unlucky with this litter of lops, of 6, 5 appear to be boys and only one a girl.

A couple golden girls that will be with me at the show in Evanston Wyoming this Saturday!
I’ve never really taken pre-juniors to show before but I’ve got a couple that I’d love opinions on 💛

Can you guess who’s not going to a show and why??? 😅🫣
I normally don’t make too much of a crazy fuss about molts, my rabbits are outside and our weather has been less than stellar this year but this just takes the cake.
Plus she’s all bony from all the growing, just not a stellar introduction to a show table. Maybe in July 🤷‍♀️

A cute little buck I pulled out trying to determine who goes to show and who says home!
This is from a litter of six- 3 does, 3 bucks and I think I’ll be hanging onto all of them fo a little 😝
Minus the one I already parted with so the now 2 does and 3 bucks 🤣
What a good bunch!

Gosh I really do love this sweet old lady 🥹💛
For a five year old brood doe, she’s just so impressive to look at.
I absolutely adore and cherish both babies I have from her, and now her grandchildren that I have. She’s just a very special lady 💛
The desire for her to have just one more go on the show table to get one more leg and be granded is so tempting, but at her older age, I just can’t bring myself to stress her out like that.

My current plan is to put her into a soft retirement, I have two fall breeding options for her- breed her back to her half lynx son whose type is far superior but run the chance of still getting some goldens in the litter OR bred her back to a full lynx son I have that’s got some things structural I really don’t like but they’re full lynx.
I’ll max try for two litter out her next season- I won’t run her into the ground for babies after all she’s done for my program 💛

This little buck is going to be part of a trio in Wyoming for Miss Ingrid Scott
He’s going to be a cool little breeder, he’ll put some good depth back onto the does he’s going with 💛
Had he had more width, he would have been a fantastic keeper and show rabbit for the summer. He’ll still serve a fantastic purpose and hopefully his babies will have the best of both!

There’s still work to be done but I think this doe is a step in the right direction for the pal herd. Something most of my does struggle with right now is depth, so this is nice to see.
She’ll stay for the foreseeable future, hopefully she has a great show career this year and in December, we can work on getting her bred.
And for reasons i may explain later, shes getting a seafood name 😅🤪

She’s working on herself 🥹💪
Still not the deepest but I’ve noticed that’s a thing that comes with age with this particular rabbits line.
Even this picture, I actually took these a week ago 🤣, are an improvement from 3 weeks ago 🎉

It’s that time of year again where the micro grant applications from the livestock conservancy open back up!
I’ve put it off before- nerves, business, or general feeling of not being worth of it if I did by chance get it- I’ve finally gotten past those feelings.
Everyone deserves the opportunity, regardless of how large or small their operations are! The potential opportunity to expand and better manage my herd is here and I’m ready to send in my application ☺️

Now accepting Microgrant applications!
Up to $2,000 is available to support your work with rare and heritage breeds—whether that’s improving infrastructure, expanding production, or growing your market.
