Holding fresh newborns is a definite side benefit of postpartum work 😍

Besides a smidge of snuggling, today's shift included lots of laundry, dishes, tidying the kitchen and living space, putting away groceries, heating up breakfast, preparing snacks, arranging flowers, sweeping the floor, chatting and listening to Mama's incredible birth story, and meeting this little lady's doting older brother and sister. What a great day. 🥰

Yesterday I finished up care with an absolutely wonderful family. Erin at invited me to be part of her postpartum experience and I was so honored to serve her during this special time transitioning to a family of four.

I was able to support this family though many practical tasks like preparing nourishing tea for Erin, assembling delicious snacks, picking up groceries, organizing the fridge, and more.

Erin is a wealth of knowledge about herbs and offers many wonderful products for sale, including tallow balm. Check her out and support this wonderful woman!

Yesterday was my birthday. And that reminded me that today is the 3rd birthday of my doula business! Three years ago I was so nervous to launch. Not sure what was ahead, but hopeful I could make a difference. I really don't like the word business actually. Doula-ing is not monetarily profitable for me at all. But its heart work. 💗 I enjoy it. And it brings me life to bring life to others. Thanks for joining me here!

I love the variety of things I get to do as a doula.

After a lovely evening session with a fresh postpartum family, I happily dropped off some Very Important mail 📬 for them, saving them a trip to the post office in this bitter cold Ohio weather. 🥶

I hope you are each enjoying some slowness and calm in these days after Christmas. 🎄 I love continuing the celebration for an additional 6 weeks (yes!) as a Catholic.

My husband gave me a dutch oven for Christmas and I have officially leveled up my sourdough game! The simple joy of creating is so underrated. 🥖

Wishing you peace and joy now and in the new year. Thank you to my clients who entrusted your care to me in 2023, it was an honor. Looking forward to 2024 with joy! 🎊

Homemade chicken noodle on a cold day is just 🤌🏻

This soup is made with bone broth, which is an excellent choice postpartum. Warm, nutrient-rich foods nourish the body and ease the healing process.

Prepping myself for an evening session tonight with a homemade bowl of soup and sourdough bread. Yum!

I'm so happy to be able to offer evening care. My presence can help parents get through the often stressful "witching hour" as well as begin the night with a couple hours of solid sleep.
