I grew Tulsi (Holy Basil) this year from seed. Many of you purchased my starts — hope you enjoyed this beautiful plant! I wish you could smell this basket filled with joy!! Amazing 🌱Kind of funny - After my initial planting of my starts they failed to thrive because of a soil issue- so I planted another 45 feet with my squash plants! AND then … volunteers starting showing up throughout the tomatoes AND then… the first 45 foot row start to flourish. SO… there is a life lesson in here. Don’t worry - have faith and BELIEVE and count your blessings — Tulsi, she is strong, persevering and plentiful 🌱And you must always harvest Holy Basil with chicken feet socks😆 Erin Coleman

“In this engaging workshop, you’ll learn about time-honored herbal remedies that can help support your immune system during the colder months. Sage, astragalus, garlic, thyme, and elderberry are just a few of the herbal “magicians” you’ll meet as Dawn shares their traditional uses, along with healing stories, folk remedies, and practical recipes you can incorporate into your daily life.”

As a child playing in the woods, my friend Bridget and I used poke berries as face paint, pretend food and whatever else was needed in our play. As an herbalist, I haven’t used this plant very much. Some of my folk herb teachers used this plant- but most modern herbalists don’t. But after being inspired by High Garden | Herb + Tea —I decided to try this today. I will mix about a half an ounce with sparkling water. There are some medicinal uses for this plant (berries and roots)— you just need to do your research. I am excited as always to learn more from the plants! If you search High Garden Tea’s profile you will find the video about poke berries.
