We have had quite a busy summer here but of course love to squeeze in any extra visits we can! After getting a few messages with people curious about not having any times left available on Calendly, our online visit scheduler (they do fill up quickly!) I have just updated it with a few more days available over the next couple weeks, including a few times THIS AFTERNOON in case we have some last-minute farm friends hoping to visit on this beautiful sunny day! As always, you can also send a message if you were hoping to visit a specific day and I will always see if we can squeeze you in. Your booked-and-busy 💅 alpaca friends all say hi if you can’t make it in to see them soon but thanks to our visitors that have braved the heat recently, and our alpacas are staying cool with lots of water spraying! ❤️

Meet our newest friend, Genie Tortellini 🐢
He/she (we won’t know for another year or two) is a baby Sulcata Tortoise, also known as an African Spurred Tortoise. He has been with us almost 2 months (and is about a year old) but mostly stays in an indoor enclosure for now, with supervised outdoor time. A few lucky visitors have gotten to meet him already, and he will definitely be outside to meet at our event this Saturday! He also took a field trip to a preschool classroom for the day and took a poem along with him, swipe to read it! The last photo is what he/she might look like one day. That one is a 53 year old Sulcata we met a few years ago! So excited to watch this little one grow and love him/her for a lifetime 💕 will likely be cared for by my grandchildren one day…

Eggs have been incubating since last week, set to hatch midweek the week of the 20th with more chicks coming in that week too! Which means it is time to announce our upcoming event July 25 ❤️ 12-4 come hold a chick, visit all your favorite animals, kids crafts, and a water slide! Event page: Summer Fun Farm Day! The girlies got all sheared up last weekend 💅 Nova got the unusual treat of being sheared on the grass and decided it was perfect for snacking! The three boys still need to be sheared but the rain is not cooperating… hoping for tomorrow 🤞 we also have visit times available tomorrow afternoon! Calendly.com/littleriverfarm/visit
