Edited to add: The bandaid is removed, it was our attempt to correct it's leg. It looks better than it did, but it isn't going to correct the bone growing the way it is.

One of our baby silkies, the one who had the most rough assisted hatch, the one we thought wasn't going to make it, has shown so much resilience and the desire to LIVE.

This is not spraddle leg, nor does it appear to be perosis.

Feeling the affected area, it feels like his leg bone is curled which may have happened when the egg was shrink wrapped, however his foot continues to curl severely inward as well.

We have experience correcting spraddle leg and this just is not it. The little bo**er wants to live, so we have decided to make him/her a house pet so long as they continue thriving.

There will be a small future fundraiser to raise money for a weeks worth of chicken diapers, but until that time comes, if there is any further advice you can give to us, so that we can give this baby a good life, even if it ends up being indoors, it's very appreciated. 💜

By the way, he doesn't have a name yet and we could use some ideas!
