Guard donkey needing new critters to guard!!

I would not be getting rid of him if I wasn’t getting rid of the goats he is guarding. He has proved himself to be here and is worth his weight in gold. His quirks aren’t anything when it comes to how he is with the goats of all sizes and how low maintenance he really is.

Pros:
- extremely well behaved around goats/sheep
- has been with babies as young as a month old and loves them more then the adults
- knows his job and does it extremely well
- comes to/ follows a grain bucket
- very easy on fences (part of my fence was down and he did not wander)
- VERY easy keeper, was fat once but maintains on just hay!
- keeps his own feet down

Cons:
- not very friendly (just skittish nothing dangerous)
- cannot catch unless roped

September born Sr. Doe would be at the top of the age bracket for MN 4h kids. If you’re looking for power she is one to get. She may have a broken horn but that does not stop her and thankfully it’s on the non show side although judges should not discriminate. She also comes from a strong maternal and heavy producer line. She’sa hard one to let go of!

I absolutely hate doing this but due to unfortunate circumstances, I have to part ways with my goats. This is the last thing I wanted to do but I have exhausted all options.

Located in Bemidji, MN. Can deliver for a fee and work with transports.

I have 3 does, 1 wether, a doeling, and a buckling that all need to go by APRIL 14. ALL REGISTERED! BABIES will come with paperwork to be registered but will not be sent in. Will not be sheared before leaving. Can come with any raw wool I have laying around for an additional fee. Have been with a donkey.

Preference to everyone going together. But will split into 2 groups if necessary.

GOATS:
Black doe - 3 years old. Missed kidding season this year due to no fault of her own
White doe - 5 years old. Missed kidding season this year due to no fault of her own. Has an old soul spirit.
White wether - 3 years old. A little wild and playful compared to the does. Loves climbing.
WILL NOT SEPARATE
White doe - 5 years old. Has twins on her. Carries color. 3rd set of babies
Twins: blue doeling, white buckling. Born Feb 2nd, have been happy and bouncy all the time. Drinking well! A little skittish but haven’t been messed with at all. Will have a naturally friendly disposition.

Feel free to contact me if you have anything specific you want made for your critters as I am always willing to figure something out. Currently, I am toying with the idea of making a waterproof lightweight fleece blanket that can keep sheep and goats warm right after a shear/shave during some of the colder months.

Angoras are a nice, non smelly breed that is very sociable. They do need to be sheared 2 times a year and can provide some very, very nice mohair.

I know it’s been a while but I have some exciting news!!! I have welcomed a few new members to my homestead! Starting off introductions is the sweet donkey. He doesn’t have a name yet but will protect my goats from all the coyotes, wolves and bears we have living on a lake. A name will be announced once decided but I am very excited for this new adventure! I’ve never owned a donkey and I’m excited for this new learning curve!
