ThiselDo Farm on Coppock Hill ThiselDo Farm was created 2015. as the last of our children were leaving home. So, we set out building our goat barn from a carport & free pallets!!

people often question what exactly does "ThiselDo" mean... well as we created our little mini farm, I had grand dreams of rolling hills, green pastures, big red barn, white rail fences... however, our budget did not allow that. our 1st chicken pen was made up from two 10'x10' dog kennels with a used tin roof..as each thing was made, I would dream of the farm I wanted, but would happily say, "Well,

this will do for now!" with my Texas accent my words kinda went together and 'this will' sounded more like I was leaving the w out making it 'thisel' and since I'd say it fairly quickly, the words kinda ran together as "thisel do" so when we needed to name our farm, we thought of so many names, none that seemed to fit. then one day as we were working on our chicken coop, I said it again, "well this'el do for now". then it hit us... ThiselDo Farm was born. because God has already given us everything I really wanted and He has blessed our little farm. it has created so many memories, food & milk for our family. and a sense of peace in my mind. so although it is not what my early vision consisted of, it has everything I need and 'ThiselDo for Me!!"

Army SSG Alan W. Shaw from Little Rock, Arkansas was killed in action February 9, 2007 while conducting combat operations in Baqubah, Iraq. Staff Sergeant Shaw served in the US Army, 1st Battalion, 12th Cavalry Regiment, 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division, out of Fort Hood, Tex.

Preparing kids for a new home before they are weaned from their mommas require a little extra work. You have to make sure they are going to be social & sweet..they have to be able to take a bottle. Which requires a little work on our part to get them to make that transition. They will be going to their new home on Thursday.
