LAST CALL!

I’ve got the last of my tubers marked down. If you’re finding holes in your garden or field, now is the time to fill them in!
I’m going to close out the tuber sale by mid-June  and plant out everything I have left. Shop now before they’re all gone!

From field to flower farm: Part 3
When the grass finally looked dead from baking beneath the tarps for several weeks, we began the next steps.
I spread organic gypsum across the plots to help break up the clay soil.
Then my husband tilled…with a hand-push tiller. It was quite the feat and there’s no way I would have been able to do it myself.
(We tried several times to rent a tractor, but it was not happening for us.)
While my husband pushed the tiller, the kids and I cleared rocks by the thousands. Soooo many rocks!!
Then, after tilling and rock-clearing, we spread the compost.
Y’all…it was hard. A tractor would have made light work of it. But hey, we lost a few pounds of fat and gained some muscle in the process. 💪🏼

Y’all, I am so excited about this!
I just started potting up dahlias for our Mother’s Day Potted Dahlia sale coming soon. A few weeks from now these little beauties will be full, leafy plants with a whole summer of blooms ahead.

Your order comes, packed with utmost care, including labeled and vented bags of tubers, your receipt, a thank you note, and enough padding to make the trip safely.
