Berlin Brothersvalley Summer Food Service Program Free Summer Food Program for ages 2-18. At J B Schrock Playground [700 South St., Berlin] - MON, WED, & FRI; June 8-Aug. 14; 11:30am-12:30 pm.

The Summer Food Service Program (SFSP) is an effort to combat child hunger by providing free meals to children 18 and under in a fun, safe and educational environment. OUR 2021 SCHEDULE WILL BE AS FOLLOWS: SERVING GrabnGo LUNCH AT NOON, EVERY TUESDAY & FRIDAY FROM JUNE 11-AUGUST 27 AT J B SCHROCK PLAYGROUND 500 South St., Berlin, PA. One in five children living in the U.S. are food insecure, meani

ng that they either don't know where their next meal is coming from, or they don't have access to nutritious food (fresh produce, etc.). Child hunger is especially devastating because it is a contributing factor to physical, mental and behavioral problems in children, as well as failing grades. The SFSP helps guarantee that our children receive the nutritious food that their growing bodies need, even in the summer when free or reduced school lunches are unavailable, so that they may return to school in the summer ready to learn and succeed.

Hey folks! Raise your hand 🙌🏼👋🤚 if you would be able to help pick up food on Mondays for the summer food program. We have about 7 weeks left in the program but we're short on volunteers. 🙏🏼
