I need to make this post now before I change my mind. I am offering one Nubian and one Lamancha doe in milk at this time.

Neither doe is a cull and I’d keep them if I had the space or needed the milk.

This kidding season is more than half over and we are excited to welcome the rest of the kids in the next month.

To start with the positive, we have had 10 does kid with 18 live kids. We have 4 more does still pregnant - two are past their due dates. At this time we are doe heavy with 11 girls!
Our two Lamancha first fresheners have very pretty udders and we can’t wait to see them mature.

Unfortunately, there were a couple hard losses this kidding season. In January, our only pregnant 2yo Nubian, Kestrel, got sick and despite our and our vet’s best efforts she passed. The second hard loss was our Lamancha doe Seraphina, she had to be put down due to an internal injury that we suspect occurred before or during labor. We luckily were able to get a live kid out before we lost her.
A big thank you to our vets who assisted over the phone and came out to help with our does. Hopefully we will see them during more pleasant circumstances next time!

These struggles have been tough but also make us reflect on and appreciate the years where kidding season is a little less heartbreaking.
We do have a few kids available and will share individual photos soon. If anyone is interested, please send us a message to inquire about the availability!

Purebred Nubian buck looking for new ladies
Hops N Lops Worth a Knut - 2023 proven model
Located: Berne, NY

Newt is looking for new employment in early October. I got a new buck this spring and only have space to keep one Nubian buck. He is easy to handle during the year, can pull a bit in the fall but I have not had issues with his behavior.
He has DNA on file and comes with ADGA papers.
