July has been busy!

We started off the month with the second half of the ADGA National show. For our first time attending, we were pleased that 5 of the 6 goats we brought made the cut!

Nubians -
Intermediate kid: Allie Acres BJ Cerulean Iris - 18th
4yo milker: CA BlackBerry’s Iz U Leto - 18th

Lamanchas -
Senior kid: Allie Acres HBGM Helena - 19th
5-6yo milker: Allie Acres FM Shadow - 12th
7+ milker: Allie Acres FD French Kiss - 7th

Last weekend we attended the Progressive Dairy Goat Club’s Champagne Classic
Highlights:
Kiss was reserve champion Lamancha in both rings of the combined show
Helena won grand champion Lamancha in one of the junior shows and got her dry leg!

On Saturday we attended the WASCUNY Sparkler dog trial at the Washington County Fairgrounds. For the first ASCA event, Havyn competed in two rally trials and one obedience trial.
She did great and received lots of compliments on her performance.
Rally Trials:
199/200 points and first place
200/200 points and first place

Obedience Trial:
198/200 points and first place

We also brought Kiss along for the ride since the Southern Adirondack Dairy Goat Classic was also happening at the fairgrounds.
Kiss won her class in both rings and was very tired from her busy month!

A big thank you to everyone at home and at the shows for helping us get out to these events this summer! Now time to rest for a few weeks before the Altamont Fair.

Whole herd tested negative for CAE in 2026 and oldest goats tested negative to CAE in 2026
No CL abscesses observed in herd
All goats come with ADGA registration papers (or registration application - for most kids)

I need to make this post now before I change my mind. I am offering one Nubian and one Lamancha doe in milk at this time.

Neither doe is a cull and I’d keep them if I had the space or needed the milk.
