Julie and Jeremiah Muth are committed to providing high-quality vegetables, beef, pork, poultry, eggs, maple syrup, sorghum, plant starts and handmade soaps to their Harrison County community. Their farm's production and business have grown since they purchased the bucolic property in 2016, allowing them the wisdom of learning while doing as first-generation farmers, providing a whole-farm diversity of products.
Embracing community is key to their success - learning from experienced farmers as they scale up gradually, working with local church and youth groups and connecting with OAK for support in transition to organic certification. Join this Field Day to learn from Julie and Jeremiah's challenges and triumphs over the last decade as they create a resilient, sustainable farm with a small team.
Registration fees are waived for this event; registration is required. Register at oak-ky.org/field-days.
The USDA's Midwest Transition to Organic Partnership Program provided support for this event. OAK's Farmer Education program is supported by the Kentucky Agricultural Development Fund (KADF).
