A little ravine salamander - I don’t see these too often. They usually aestivate during the summer, coming out in the cooler, wet months. This one was down in our sorghum field right above the creek bank.

We run broilers on pasture starting in March up until Thanksgiving. As soon as one batch goes to the processor, another batch is getting moved from the brooder to green grass, and then the brooder is restocked with day old chicks. Jeremiah has got it down to clockwork and it’s become one of the less time consuming, streamlined ventures on the farm.

We’re still feeling the heat of summer, but we’re already thinking about THANKSGIVING!

Our first batch of turkey poults arrived a couple weeks ago and we still have more coming.

It may seem early, but in a few weeks we’ll start taking deposits for Thanksgiving turkeys 🦃 - sizes available for small gatherings or large family get togethers.

We typically sell out by early/mid-October so start thinking ahead if you’d like a local turkey to grace your table this year. Details coming soon 👀

We've been a little quiet on social media lately, but that's because we've been busy doing what we love most—working on the farm!
