Looks like an early Carolina summer!

I was recently involved in a conversation about the unique dynamics of supporting autistic children. Later that night, as I processed the abundance of information I had learned, I realized I was certainly not the only one that greatly misunderstood the condition. Later that night, lying in bed, I began thinking about a book specifically for the children to know that they are not alone and that being different is perfectly OK.

I began researching and putting together some common issues and weaving them into story about a young horse on a farm with a kind farmer.

Having absolutely no discernable artistic talent, I collaborated with Gemini to bring my vision to life, and asked it to illustrate my story. From there I created a pdf and converted it to a flipbook with Heyzine.

I'm not sure where it may go from here, but I hope you enjoy the draft.

Pure joy today at Stargazer Farm! We were lucky enough to encounter this gorgeous turtle laying eggs in our barn! We quietly watched her lay several and then cover the nest. When she was finished, we escorted her to safety; across the property, through the fences, and past the dogs, to her desired destination... the woods by the pond. Once she was safe, we secured the nest area temporarily to deter predators from digging it up.

We wish her and her babies long lives and much happiness!

Many thanks to Cline's Nursery for our 2 beautiful new trees. We got both in the ground just in time for the rain.

The first is a beautiful little Fat Albert Blue Spruce, which will be decorated for Christmas for many years to come. The second is an exceptional 4 graft Cherry; a single tree that will produce 4 distinct kinds of cherries.

If you haven't been to Cline's before, we highly recommend them for all of your gardening and landscaping needs.
