Morgan’s Market turns ONE 🥹🎉❤️
Long post warning:
It is officially our 1 year anniversary since opening. Just that statement alone is mind blowing to me. If only I could go back and tell the postpartum version of myself who was struggling to figure out who she was and what her purpose looked like, just how beautiful the next year was going to be.
The Farmstand idea was born from a middle of the night, baby won’t sleep social media scroll. I came across a video of a roadside stand and had the completely unfounded confidence to say “I could do that.”
My wonderful husband was crazy enough to believe in my dream, and said “let’s do it.” And here we are, 1 year later.
When I made the decision to step away from my career in teaching to stay home with our son, I knew I was making the choice I wanted for our family, but it definitely wasn’t easy. For so long, teaching had been such a huge part of my identity. I had always felt like my purpose was to serve others, to create, to love, to encourage, and to bring a little bit of joy into the lives of the people around me.
For a while, I worried that becoming a stay-at-home mom meant I had lost that part of myself. However, this little Farmstand gave me a piece of it back.
Morgan’s Market isn't just a successful side business, it helped me rediscover a sense of purpose while still being the mom I wanted to be.
From beginning with a gifted sourdough starter and a couple of test batches that the cows wouldn’t even eat, to selling hundreds of loaves of bread this year is unreal.
You have allowed a little dream born during a sleepless night to become something that has brought so much purpose, joy, and connection into my life.
I am extremely proud of the growth that this little business has made in a year and the growth I’ve made myself right along side of it. I can’t wait to see where we are this time next year!
My most sincere gratitude and all my love,
❤️ Morgan
