We always say showing isn't about the ribbons. It's what you and your horse enjoy. If your horse doesn't enjoy it you're wasting your time. Showing is hard work all for 2 minutes in the arena. But that hard work pays off if you have fun too.

It was a very hot day on the farm while we were setting up all of the faucets for the water on the farm. All of the ponies got bathed today but I was playing with Ajax today while waiting to turn off the water. Seems he needed to cool off even after a bath!

Cairo came to us last week with a lot of weight loss. In just one week we are noticing a HUGE difference. He also got his feet done by our farrier James Thomas yesterday. While there is still some work to do he has a full belly and happy toes to play on. Sweet Serenity Farms feeds Safe Choice Original to all of our boarders unless they ask otherwise. I feed 1x daily during the summer time with full pasture turnout and 2x daily in the wintertime with hay and full pasture turn out. Our farrier James Thomas came and gave the ponies pedicures this morning! One thing a good farm needs is a good farrier and personally me and the ponies love him! Thank you again for driving so far to get to us today!

We are SO CLOSE to having the fence finished! And yes there is a bag hanging on the fence. I caught it running away into the pasture so I put it on the fence so it couldn't run. But seriously! So excited to see this vacant piece of land we bought turning into something!

The tornado hit last night right next to us (( less than a mile over)). We will be checking for damage this morning as soon as we can. At least the fence hasn't been put up yet so worse case we will have some trees down. Thank you for all of those who were concerned and reached out to us to make sure we were okay even though we haven't moved yet. It means the world to us that everyone cares.

Remember that beautiful sunset I said we had the other night here at Western Rose? Well our friend Parker came out to help with that yucky barbed wire fence that was left behind for us, and just so happened to have his photography stuff with him. I think it was absolutely breathtaking!
