My cousin once said to me, “You’re living your dream life, doing what you love. How did you turn your passion into a business?”
I had to laugh. Life doesn’t always work that neatly.
Before this, I spent 12 years in the exact same 9-to-5 corporate grind. Then, the millennial crisis hit and starting something new at 35 was terrifying.
Here is the honest truth about entrepreneurship: Turning your passion into a business might not work out.
But it will show you how resilient you are. It will introduce you to a community you’d never have met otherwise. It will teach you to learn boundaries and appreciate rest instead of glorifying the hustle.
Sometimes, if you’re lucky, you look up one day and realize you’re finally living the life you used to dream about.
