And cotton season is here 😩. Cottonwood trees release their seeds every year….which is fine, IF you aren’t extremely allergic to the cotton. I am. Normally I’d lock myself in the house and only come out as necessary, or escape to the mountains for a week, but that isn’t an option this year. So I’ll go fence on the side that doesn’t have cottonwoods and hope for the best!

A post of gratitude:

To all of our old and new friends at GVFM - we truly enjoyed seeing/meeting you today. Your appreciation of the animals we’re raising and support of our family ranch makes the long hours, the cold, heat and wind, the mosquitoes, the tough parts of ranching worth it!

Thanks be to God for allowing us this opportunity to steward this land and these animals. And for the gentle rains sent upon the dry land. We are so grateful for the moisture!

I’d say priceless and awesome for the operator, but clearly the operator (me, it was me) forgot there was a post in front and drove right over it on her quest to get to her next mission. This is why you don’t/shouldn’t multitask in ranching. Do the job you’re currently on and then move to the next thing! Just glad the post is replaceable….I have a love/hate relationship with this particular tractor.
