Is Smoky the Bear the wisest?

I heard a PSA this week featuring great American Smoky the Bear. He advised us to really make sure that our campfires were completely out. The last line of the ad struck me, though - "Every responsible act makes a difference." That's a gem. Every responsible act - even tiny ones - make a difference....

Cooking up delicious things!!

A simple meal that turned out to be really delicious. Roasted sweet potatoes with black beans, avocado, salsa, Cholula cilantro lime sauce, and some Porch Swing Farms chorizo that I got at yesterday’s West Little Rock Farmers Market.

What's your favorite part of the season?

Home again - back in the Natural State. I was driving today through Perry County and lost service on my phone call. Arkansas is already at the point that it hits in early spring/late summer where it turns into a jungle/rain forest where the kudzu starts to climb on top of the Virginia creeper on top...
