A Christmas Carole

December of 1971 we produced a 34 minute program for WCBS-FM Radio spoofing Dickens' classic tale, "A Christmas Carole." The talent for the program included most of the on-air disc jockeys, the program director, station manager and some of the support staff from the station. In addition we secured the talents of Tiny Tim of, "Tiptoe through the tulips," fame to be our special guest narrator and to play the role of Tiny Tim.
This program was intended to play one time but got such a response from the New York listening audience that we wound up playing it every day during the Christmas Holiday season.

WCBS-FM "25 Miles" TV Commercial

We produced two 30 second spots and two ten second spots for WCBS-FM where I worked as production director. We won International Broadcasting Awards and Clio Awards in 1973 for these spots. Talent was all local friends and station personnel. To my knowledge, we were the first oldies station in the country to do this type of advertising and it has been copied numerous times ever since.

WCBS FM "Cara Mia"

We produced two 30 second spots and two ten second spots for WCBS-FM where I worked as production director. We won International Broadcasting Awards and Clio Awards in 1973 for these spots. Talent was all local friends and station personnel. To my knowledge, we were the first oldies station in the country to do this type of advertising and it has been copied numerous times ever since.

Harmony House Aretha Franklin

For Harmony House, we created a campaign aimed at showing the difference between a music specialty store and a Big Box retailer. For this commercial, we secured the services of the Queen of Soul, Aretha Franklin who actually shopped at Harmony House for her music. An originally-scored music track was created to go with Aretha's singing to close the commercial.
The campaign was successfully used four years during the year end holiday season.
