Yesterday was a special day for our Veteran community.

Our Veterans Affairs Director at Kennesaw State University stood alongside the owners of a local dealership as we helped present a deserving Veteran with a vehicle. It was an emotional moment, with tears shared by both the dealership owners and our VA leadership as they witnessed the impact of this gift.

One thing that stood out to me was that the team at Mitsubishi in Canton, Georgia began the event with prayer. Their generosity and compassion were evident from the start. My school called me two weeks ago asking if we had another car for Veterans.

On very short notice yesterday morning, they asked us to send a Veteran to pick up a vehicle. The recipient is a student, Veteran, a single mother working three jobs while attending school and raising her family. In addition to the vehicle, she was also given a three-year warranty to help provide peace of mind for the road ahead.

Even more incredible, we were able to help place three additional vehicles with Veterans yesterday morning.

Thank you, to my Director at the Cherokee County Homeless Veteran Program and Dr. Stacy, for your leadership and dedication to serving those who have served our nation. Moments like these are proof that when a community comes together, we can truly make a difference. I’ll be back on campus in the fall.

I told you all—we support our Veterans. I told yall let me off leash and things will happen. Just let me stay behind the the scenes. I was able to bring the spirit of God in the room. 🫡🇺🇸🙏🏽👌🏾💪🏽

My former nextdoor neighbor just called me and said , “Son I need help” she told me her caregiver stole her money out of her wallet while she was taking a shower. I told her come Tuesday it’s a wrap. Her father is a WW II Veteran and I helped her find her parents in the Georgia National Cemetery and helped her get Senior Citizen Services because she couldn’t walk. Lawsuit coming. I don’t play about my Senior Citizens and our Veterans in North Georgia. Watch what is about to happen. I don’t believe in stealing! This Company is going to pay with compensation. 🫡🇺🇸🙏🏽

Thank you to the for the generous $20,000 donation to support Veterans in Canton, GA and throughout Cherokee County. We will make sure our Veterans receive the support, resources, and assistance they deserve.

After losing my home in a fire in Birmingham, my mission became even stronger: to fight homelessness among Veterans and stand against hate crimes. I am a child of God. Thank you so much. 🙏🏽

Today, I was honored to receive a coin from the National Commander of the American Legion of the United States of America under President Trump. One of the staff members remembered me from last year and asked me to come on stage to share my story about how I bounced back after losing my home in Birmingham, AL, and my journey playing with the disabled Veterans baseball team with the Chicago Cubs.

Thank you, sir, for the opportunity. Nothing was planned—I spoke straight from the heart.

When I return to DC, I know I’m in good hands. 🙏🏽

They said I might never walk again, but I proved them wrong. As a disabled Veteran, this moment meant everything to me. Shoutout to the Chicago Cubs for believing and fighting with heart. That game-winning line drive helped bring us this ring. Shoutout to all my sponsors for making this happen.

Thank you, Coach Montgomery, for talking with me every day and keeping me focused. When I told you, “I got you,” I meant every word. We struggled at first, but I made sure we finished strong and won the game. 🫡🙏🏽

Mayor Woodfin, I respectfully ask that you please sign the paperwork.

I looked up to you when I ran for election in the 99 Neighborhoods in Wylam, Alabama, after my home was intentionally set on fire. During that season, you gave many of us hope and inspired us to believe in a better future for our communities.

I truly do not want to pursue legal action against the City of Birmingham over something that should only require a signature. Instead, I would much rather have a meaningful conversation—for Birmingham, Alabama, for affordable housing, for our senior citizens, and for the people who need help the most.

Please help me move this forward. This is not the 1900s—we should be progressing, not going backward.

As a side note, I was honored to be accepted into Birmingham School of Law, but I am still trying to understand why they do not accept the G.I. Bill. As a 20-year disabled veteran, that is deeply concerning to me. Since you are an attorney, I would truly appreciate your insight on why veterans are unable to use their VA education benefits there and who is responsible for burning my house down? Thank you Governor we appreciate you supporting Veterans. 🫡
