Anyone here have experience with 3D printers? I’m thinking about getting one for my 16‑year‑old. He’s very artsy, crafty, and tech‑minded, and I feel like a 3D printer could open up a whole new world of creating useful things for the homestead—and maybe even a little side income if he ends up making items people want to buy.
If you’ve got recommendations for solid beginner‑friendly printers, must‑have tools or accessories, or any tips you wish you knew starting out, I’d love to hear them. Also open to beginner pattern sites, project ideas, or YouTube channels that helped you learn.
Always appreciate the wisdom from this community—y’all have taught me more than any manual ever could.

Hey y’all! Quick favor from your local egg‑slinging crew 🥚😄
To keep prices as low as we can for everyone, we’re on the hunt for more egg cartons!
If you’ve got any extras lying around, you can drop them off at the stand anytime.
Or, if it’s easier, text Laura at 501‑467‑9396 or PM me and we’ll happily meet up to grab them.
And when you pick up eggs, returning your previous carton helps us big time.
Think of it as recycling… farm‑stand style. We appreciate you more than you know! 💛

• Fried
• Boiled
• Baked into recipes
• “I’ve never tried them but I’m curious!”
Drop your favorite recipes in the comments — I love seeing how everyone uses them!
PM me for details on the March 1st special… first come, first served! 🥚🥚🍳🍽️💛

This could NOT be more accurate. Arkansas weather really said, “Here hold my drink.”

First it was, “Brace yourselves, it’s coming early Friday!”
Then it was, “Actually… later Friday.”
Then it shifted north.
Meanwhile every weather app is showing a completely different apocalypse level.
The WHOLE state is under a warning, but somehow every part of Arkansas has a different warning. I’m literally sitting between two of them like… am I getting snow? A rain/snow smoothie? Or are we going full‑blown ice rink in the driveway?
Stay warm out there, y’all — and may the odds be ever in your forecast’s favor.

Welcome to Arkansas 🤪

Y’all… this past week has been something else. Not only have I been dealing with my own back issues, but Miss Ronni girl has tried her absolute best to send us to the ER twice.
Last Monday, she threw herself backwards on my bed and smacked her arm on the end table. We couldn’t even tell what part hurt because she screamed if we touched her wrist, elbow, or shoulder, and she wouldn’t put weight on it. We monitored her all day, ready to head to the ER if it got worse, but thankfully it ended up just being a bruise and a big scare.
Then last night… whew. I left work early because it was my first day back after being down with my back, and I was hurting bad. I took a muscle relaxer and Kenneth shut the bedroom door so the kids wouldn’t jump on me while I tried to rest.
A few hours later I hear a BOOM followed by Ronni screaming. By the time I manage to roll myself out of bed, Kenneth is running in with a crying toddler and a wad of paper towels turning red. Turns out she tried to climb onto the little kids’ table — but there was a car seat sitting on it. She was trying to sit in the car seat, it flipped, she flipped, and she busted a huge chunk out of her already fat little lip and gave herself a nosebleed.
The first picture is from last night after I finally got her calmed down with a popsicle and got the bleeding to stop. The next two are what she looks like today.
It’s been a WEEK in this house, but we’re hanging in there. Kids are wild, backs are fragile, and popsicles apparently fix everything.
More sawmill updates and photos coming soon — once life stops throwing surprises at us. 💛🌲🪵

It’s been a week, y’all… and not the good kind. Last Saturday (the 10th) we had friends over and played board games all night — nothing wild, just laughing, hanging out, and having a good time. I went to bed feeling totally normal.

Sunday morning? I woke up and literally could not move my right leg or get out of bed. I’m talking zero mobility. Muscle relaxers did nothing. Even my MMJ — which usually helps my chronic pain — wasn’t touching it. I spent the entire week struggling just to stand, walk, or even sit without feeling like my body was shutting down.

Thankfully my mom stepped in and took my two youngest so I didn’t have to worry about being alone with two toddlers (and one still not potty trained). That was a lifesaver because I could barely take care of myself, much less chase little ones.

After days of barely functioning, I finally got a Saturday appointment with a chiropractor… and wow. She told me just how badly things were misaligned — hip twisted front to back, up and down, everything pulling wrong causing 1 leg to be 1-1.5" shorter than the other! No wonder I couldn’t move.

I’m finally starting to feel human again, and I’ll be easing back into things. Expect photos and sawmill updates over the next few days — I’ve missed sharing everything with y’all.

Also… this cold front coming in looks gnarly. Make sure your families, pets, and farm animals are warm and ready. Stay safe, stay bundled, and check on your neighbors. Winter’s about to bite.
More updates soon. 💛🌲🪵

🌲 Homestead & Sawmill Update – Asking for a Little Help 🌲

I don’t usually ask for help, but we’re in a tough spot right now. Between driving 30 minutes each way to work Monday–Friday, babysitter costs (plus breakfast, lunch, and snacks for the two little ones), and keeping up with a household of six, things have gotten tight.
My youngest boy has outgrown nearly all his clothes, and with winter here, he only has a few pants, shirts, and jackets that fit. Groceries would also be a huge blessing right now. Living and working in two different towns here in rural Arkansas makes it hard to get to food banks, and with four kids (ages 16, 6, 3, and almost 2), every bit helps.
We’ve had a rough year—injuries, storm damage, unexpected bills—and while I’m reaching out to local resources for utility assistance, I’ve never had to ask like this before. I know once we get the roof over the mill finished and our tractor repaired, we’ll be back to cutting and selling lumber again. At that point, I fully intend to pay it forward or pay back those who’ve helped us when I can.
I’m not looking for pity or handouts—I’m happy to barter, trade, or simply pass kindness along when we’re back on our feet. Thank you for any support, whether it’s clothes, groceries, or pointing me toward resources.
— Feeling discouraged, but hopeful.
