We are finally back home in the big city of Blackshear! It has been a long, rainy, beautiful day and we are so thankful for it. 🙏🏻
This festival wasn't like any festival I've been blessed to set up for. For most, rain is a reason not to attend a festival but for these folks it was treated like it was just another day. This festival has become a tradition for little Abbyville and pulls an audience from all over. We spoke with people who had driven 5mins on their side by side and others from over 10 hours away. Some came prepared with their rain boots while others walked in the South Georgia muddy clay barefoot and loving every minute of it. We even shared a little knowledge with each other. For many it was their first sip of a Dirty Soda or Twisted Energy Drink so I was able to explain what they are and then handcraft each person(and there were a lot) a drink customized to their liking. They then explained to me what baying a hog was and the qualities of a good hog dog. Now I didn't go watch the event because if you know me my tender little heart isn't built for that but seeing so many others come out and support this small towns festival was humbling. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for all the love and support you guys showed Ms. Fizzle's today. We look forward to seeing you all again next year 🩷. Now it's time for some sleep. ✨
