The Beginning

…It began with a class, one for the younger ages, one for the older. I felt inspired to teach a world I had re-discovered, Dance, to an audience I work with daily, youth. Each season has brought growth, inviting new faces and new ideas. And we will continue to grow with and for our audience.

As a Director, I strive to connect interesting, thoughtful, and educated Teachers/Performers to an audience that is committed to learning, (including ourselves). As a Teacher, my goal is to inspire the students who grant me the opportunity to teach and to pass-on the information that I am grateful to have learned and continue to learn. As a Performer/Choreographer, I hope to provoke thought and compel the viewer to relate to our shared human experience.

The BreedArts School of Art and Dance offers movement classes for youth, ages 4-13, for a Fall and Spring Season. This program will introduce children to a world of movement including ballet, modern dance, improvisation, choreography, and yoga. Through exploration of dance concepts and techniques, students learn to identify and coordinate parts of their body into various movement patterns, developing strength and flexibility. Students have the opportunity to empower their creative talents as they learn the art of choreography. As part of our core values, we encourage healthy body image and body knowledge for each dancer’s physical safety.
