For those who purchased or inquired about our walking onions, here is an example of how these plants reproduce and got the name "walking onions". The tops produce a cluster of bulbs that have white flowers which will eventually weigh down the tops causing the plant to drop down. If you leave it alone it will eventually root itself and grow new green onions. You can remove the cluster of new bulbs aka flower and plant on the surface of dirt. These do not need to be buried or covered with dirt.
