One week ago today our family suffered a huge loss.

One week without walking in and saying “hey papa”

One week without hearing ”I love you a big ole bunch”

One week without hugging his neck
•
One week without being told I’m gunna get a knuckle sammich
•
One week entirely too long. One week ago we lost our papa unexpectedly. April 7,2022 will forever be one of the worst days of our lives.
•
Little J’s Farm. J is for Jacobs. We are the Jacobs family and we lost our patriarch. We find solace knowing he is with Jesus, his daughters that left this world too soon, his parents, and many others.
•
Our love for farming and gardening start with this man(and nana of course). We grew up spending summers in Arkansas where we got to tend to his garden, have and help care for goats, chickens, guineas, and a cow. We didn’t grow up with a farm in our back yard but three years ago we made the decision to pickup where he left off. He LOVED our farm and was so proud of everything we had accomplished. Even while in the hospital he was excited to hear about our new turkeys we had gotten. Every day after collecting eggs we’d hear, “how many eggs ya get.” Every day without fail.

Funny. Boy was he funny. He genuinely made us laugh on a regular basis. Asking silly questions and cracking jokes.
•
This man NEVER met a stranger. He’d talk to ya off the street like he’d known you for years. They don’t make ‘em like that anymore. He even helped us make friends with his inviting personality.
•
We know he’s watching over us and will forever be in our hearts.
•
We love you a big ole bunch papa. We will continue to carry you in our hearts and carry on your legacy in our farm. Thank you for every thing you’ve taught us. 78 years on this Earth was not enough.
