Out working in the countryside today and looked up to see my second swarm of the year. Grab some extra equipment in the barn and scooped up the honey bees to find them a new home.

Awesome day! One hive looked ready to swarm this week, and I arrived yesterday morning to see first what was going on and second, to split if needed. Well, right as I started, the bees swarmed, making splitting a lot easier. I was able to capture the swarm and split the original hive into four smaller colonies with queen cells. And I still have the original colony with a queen cell to get restarted. All in all, a good day.
