In July of 2024 we took a big step and purchased a food trailer with a dream and a hope that we would be able to make it a successful business. We began operating in April of 2025. Nervous, scared, unsure how we would be received. Would people come? Would they like our food enough to come back? Were we doing things right? Lots of questions and an equal amount of desire to succeed.
We got through those first couple outings and learned new things with every new setup. Response was great and the demand was there. We had a few friends help us out along the way. It wasn't always easy having more than two people crammed in a small space trying to make things work but we did our best. That help we had from friends definitely helped us shape new processes and learn new things.
We started seeing many new faces and many returning faces. Some of you seemed to never miss a set up. We appreciate your support, your business, and your friendship what we formed throughout the year. We definitely could not have made it through the year without you. To all those that helped behind the scenes with maintenance and repairs to keep pushing forward. We certainly couldn't have done it without you.
Cold weather came, the demand tapered off and we ended up shutting down for the year. We weren't certain of what this year would bring. We put the trailer up for sale not knowing if it sold if we would replace it or just call it a completed chapter. We figured we would cross that bridge if we came to it and had begun prepping for 2026.
Fate has a way of changing things though and we received a serious offer on our trailer. This past Friday we delivered it to its new owner in Northern Missouri. We truly feel in the time we had to talk with him that he will put the same love, passion, and dedication into it as we did. We are still uncertain if we will continue in the food/vending business. We aren't ruling anything out, but we also aren't actively trying to make it happen. At current time we plan to put effort into our handcrafted soap business for 2026 while weighing all other options out.
With all that we are sad to announce that we will not be operating Tony's this summer. Thank you to everyone who gave us a shot. Whether it was trying our food or providing us with a location to set up. Thank you to the towns that were great to work with, we can't say all of them were great, but some were very inviting of us and seemed to genuinely want us to come to their town to do business. Thank you to the health inspectors, we met a couple of you that were just absolutely phenomenal to work with and were more help than you know in helping us do things the right way. I am sure we are missing someone and that is not intentional. We truly enjoyed serving you lunch this past year. If fate presents the right opportunity, maybe we can bring you another over the top experience in our next venture.
