Coffee anyone? While not technically a Placid Product we are pleased to say we've got the beans.

Chief's Mug Coffee Company is proudly veteran owned. Sean retired from the army as a CW3. He still drinks coffee like he's on 24 hour duty and is not allowed to sleep.

This is a serotonin booster
The Marans, while not what I was after, are still my favorite eggs. I really thought I'd love the cream legbars more.

We do have candling licenses, so if you need a few eggs lets us know.

Today was the day we did our meat birds!

Well, Sean and a friend did them. I entertained a toddler. We have not weighed them, but they're definitely bigger than rotisserie chickens from Walmart. My guess is avg 5lbs we'll weigh them before breaking them down forbthe freezer.

Went to storytime, and then someone mentioned a market and that they have strawberries. So of course, Sebastian had to have farm fresh bewwies. Who am I to deny a berry loving toddler?

Trying our hand at meat birds. Placid poultry if you will.

While this is learning as we go, we take very seriously what has to occur 7 weeks from now. While there will be a lot of jokes about not taking things too seriously etc we understand what these birds will be giving our family.

I'm greatful we can learn these things and pass this knowledge on so if our kids choose to continue on this patch of peace they'll have fewer trials and errors on the easier stuff.

One of the first steps we've taken to making our farm goals happen. We are both now certified to candle eggs, and sell them in Georgia. Eggcellent 😆🐣🐔🥚

Next on the list build a permanent coop, then get the flower fields going for our BEEEEES
