Summer in Eastern Oregon is a busy time both on and off the farm, and county fairs are always a highlight. The Morrow County Fair is when our 4-H Dairy Heifer Program participants get the chance to showcase all the time and effort devoted to their heifer. Lending a helping hand at the county fair also gives our dairy team the opportunity to interact with our community in the county they call home. Threemile General Manager of Livestock Operations Jeff Wendler reflects on this year's fair: “Not only am I proud of the kids and their families for positively representing Threemile, I would also like to recognize Dr. Brittany Casperson, Dr. Ehrin Dawson, and Dr. Adlai Schuler for their many hours of mentoring, instruction, and commitment to these kids and this program. All three of these great people also had their own kids in the fair along with other fair and work responsibilities. Thank you for your dedication to the youth of our county. You guys make us very proud.”
