I want to share that I will be stepping back from Pine Plumbing and Air for the foreseeable future. Daily operations will be suspended, and the business will be closing at this time.

Thank you to everyone who supported Pine Plumbing and Air along the way. I’m grateful for the trust and encouragement from our community.

Good mernin and happy Sunday, you precious little pickles.

The weather pattern change is here, and the summary of what to expect over the next week is laid out in my handy dandy graphic. Starting today, snow levels begin around 6,000 feet, then drop behind a cold front overnight to about 3,500 feet by Monday morning. Wind gusts of 25–45 mph, strongest above the valley floors, ease by noon Monday behind the front.

Rainfall on the valley floors will be light, generally up to a tenth of an inch. As for snurfall, look for a trace to 1 inch above 3,500 feet, including parts of Harney and Baker Counties, 1–5 inches above 5,000 feet including Long Valley, and 3–7 inches above 6,000 feet. The best opportunity for valley rainfall comes with the cold front moving through roughly 10 PM to 4 AM.

The next storm arrives Tuesday into Wednesday from the south. Forecast models have recently trended a bit farther north, which could allow showers to rotate into our region. Valley precipitation may be a rain/snow mix depending on temperature bias in the models, while the mountains pick up additional snow. I’ll have more specific rain and snowfall amounts in future updates.

Another storm follows next weekend, with an active storm cycle likely continuing into the following week.
