When ya pull in your driveway and see this guy. Please, please stay!!! 🦚 🦚 He flew over my fence and is in my pasture where my chickens are. Fingers crossed he finds his way into the coop.
He belonged to the couple that I purchased my farm from. When they moved and left the property vacant he took up residence on the farm behind my property. There used to be a white peacock too. I'd be thrilled if they both came back to live here!

Today's visitor on the farm 💜 His colors are brilliant!

The American Purple Gallinule (Porphyrio martinica) is a brightly colored, chicken-sized bird found in tropical and subtropical Americas, known for its deep purple-blue
head/underparts, turquoise wings, and long yellow legs. Primarily found in Florida and the Gulf Coast, they inhabit freshwater wetlands, walking on lily pads.
