He is a barnyard mix that was hatched from a family member across the street. He loved our girls so much he just kept coming over every day and leave to perch on a trailer. She kept having a predator grabbing and getting all of hers. Even his two hatch brothers. So they wouldn’t go back into her coup. One evening it was storming so I walked over, grabbed him and put him in our coup. He has been our head rooster since 💛

He such a sweet boy with a great crow 😁

Did you know? When hens lay their eggs they let out clucks in the form of a song? We call this the egg song. They do this as they are leaving the nest in attempt to scare off predators, and most of the time the other hens will sing along 💛
