Boomer decided on Friday night that he was gonna climb the fence and get his leg stuck. Which of course lead to a trip to the vet. Nothing broken or fractured just a soft tissue injury. This guy will be on stall rest and some pain meds for a little while. All things considered he is in good spirits and of course had to get a “pup” cup for being a good boy.

For anyone who doesn’t know Boomer is my first goat and has been through a lot of things in his 6 years of life. He for sure knows how to test my patients but holds a special place in my heart.
Thank you Amanda Nicole and PetVet365 for always putting up with me and my farm animals 😅💕

I figured it was time to finally introduce our new herd sire. Mr. Kassanova aka Kass. This goofy guy joined the herd at the beginning of June and has been fitting in well. This handsome boy will be the sire to most of next years kids.

Thank you Second Eden Farm for giving me the opportunity to add this guy to my herd!

NO LONGER AVAILABLE!
These girls need moved ASAP!!
All of these girls are total sweethearts and would make great additions to a backyard homestead/pet home. All of these girls are registered but will be leaving as unregistered (unless further discussion has been made).

Going to shows and seeing all these amazingly bred goats has got me really assessing the herd. Right now I need to focus on downsizing and only keeping the ones who truly represent the Nigerian dwarf breed. Unfortunately these girls are not it.

This does not mean they are culls by any means just that they can no longer stay here. I always want the best for my babies and just want these girls to go to loving homes.

GONE TO NEW HOME

Blue eyed silver doe “Lady”
This girl can leave for her new home. She does have registration papers but will be available as unregistered. She has kidded once before and was a good milker. Would be best for a backyard milker.

Matilda was the last doe to kid for 2026 and boy was this a stressful one.

I had it down that she was due March 29th, however that was not the case. So after realizing she wasn’t getting much of an udder I figured she just came back into heat 21 days later. New due date April 19th.

Saturday at 8:30am her ligaments were gone. She slowly progressed throughout the day making sure to take her sweet time. I waited and waited for her to show more progression but around 4:30-5 she still didn’t have much going on. I went in the house to finish up some things for the evening and came back out 30 minutes later to 2 babies on the ground. This little buckling was up and momma was cleaning him off. In the corner I found a beautiful doeling who unfortunately had already passed. I of course tried everything to bring her back, but I believe she never took a breath when she came out.

“Tilly” was doing great and taking care of the little boy, but would not let him eat. I worked with her for over an hour trying to get her to let him latch. It was going to get down in the 30s this night so I made the decision to pull him and bottle feed him for the best chance of him surviving. Little guy took right to the bottle and was doing amazing. The next morning I thought to myself should I even try giving him back. Tilly is a first timer and I know she was traumatized from losing her doe/ being a newbie. To my surprise she took him right back and let him eat!! I was beyond amazed.

Mom and baby are both doing great and Tilly now loves this sweet boy!
If you read this far thank you. 💕😅
