🍯 So if you happen to have any honey bees show up please reach out to us and let us know! We would be glad to help remove them safely from the area. If we don’t feel comfortable we will find another bee keeper to help!

🐝 Hive check completed today. It was a hot one! 🐝

We recently had a hive swarm so we had to be sure the bees had made a new Queen. Luckily they have and there was plenty of brood! Also hoping for some rain!

Pause for a second today and take a look at a video of our bees bringing in pollen today. You can even hear their little wings moving.

If you look closely at their back legs you can see the yellow pollen. Their back legs have an area that’s like a little basket and that’s how they carry their pollen back to the hive. 🐝🍯

Today we are wanting to share the type of bee hive we use. This type of hive is called a Langstroth hive which is most common.

We are looking at a high of 69 degrees here in Bostic today! The bees survived their first snow and are definitely on the move today foraging for food and doing a cleansing flight. You can tell they are very active today! I also put some hive alive out for them today but couldn’t get too close
