Pasta Queen Subscriptions are still available for this season as well but I just haven’t posted or done any marketing. It feels truly dystopian and insane to attempt to sell anything while our fellow Americans are being murdered in the street by our own government. I hope everyone already knows this by now but the Mostly Pasta stance on ICE is unequivocally “f**k them” and the same goes for the entire administration that is allowing this cruelty.
While we’ve all been stuck in our houses watching the horrors unfold through our phones in Minnesota, Maine and more, I too am wondering how long until this will show up on my own doorstep. I want to assure anyone reading this that Mostly Pasta believes that no humans are illegal and I will do anything in my power to feed or help anyone afraid to leave their house under threat of being kidnapped by ICE. I’m working on getting connected with a community food train and please do reach out to me personally if you know someone who is in need.
I’m not sure how we fix this broken country. But until it’s time to put my body on the line when ICE comes for my neighbors, I want to use the financial power I do have. We will be pledging 20% of all Supper Club profits for this season to the LUCE Immigrant Justice Network of MA which is a coalition of immigrant-led grassroots organizations that are fighting for our neighbors. This consortium of non-profits reduce the harm our racist immigration system is causing to POC communities in many ways including operating the ICE hotline, providing support for families to and from immigration court as well as detention centers, and financial support for bond and legal fees.
I am not the most knowledgeable person about what is going on in this country right now and how but to help, so please do let me know if there’s something more impactful you think I can be doing with my small (but mighty) platform.
