Why I started my own business:
(Pics are of my first post that ended up fueling this idea)
The feedback I got was AMAZING from my first post about my job I’ve done for 2 years I posted in “spotted in bowling green” group …. So I built off of what others said and did some brainstorming! Here I am!!!!
Ive always heard “turn your passion into a paycheck” and a strong believer in “dreams dont work unless you do”
There are many different ways I could do this and while I only have a few customers starting off I’ll have the chance to see which way my customers like best and build from there🫶🏼 I want to make life easier for YOU !
So now it’s officially time to start a trial run of a little delivery service of my own !!!!!! Starting off with grocery shopping and food delivery!
I have been very passionate about doordashing for 2 years now. I have given thousandsss of hours and miles to doordash. More explained further below ⬇️
And I’m thinking about incorporating cleaning, photography, and maybe even children school/daycare morning drop offs🤷🏻♀️ 3 things I know parents truly need help with sometimes 🫶🏼
Baked goods will be available randomly and also available to purchase when I provide other services 🫶🏼
I wish I could give rides but I have 4 babies to make it home to every night that need mommy …. too much can go wrong giving rides.
It’s gonna be trial and error and some patience but it’s to help others while also helping myself and my family. With some situations with my kids, I can’t do a normal 8-12 consecutive hour job and a set certain schedule. It’s nearly impossible and I’ve trieddd to brainstorm a clock in and out job that would work but there’s nothing. (I am going to school for sonography but I’ve always wanted my own business alongside my career)
Doordash does not appreciate their dashers. But I do know who would appreciate me, MYSELF AND MY CUSTOMERS ! 🫶🏼❤️
If this fails, that’s okay at least I TRIED and it pays a few bills and I’m sure I’ll love doing it no matter if I get 1 order or 100 orders!
I have gave SO MANY HOURS of my life to doordash! A system that at the end of the day truly doesn’t care about YOUUU as a human AT ALL. Between 2 vehicles I’ve put about 200,000 miles into just doordashing. And dash themselves don’t pay you anything. It’s horrible. About $2 a order. You depend on tips and that’s it, whileeeeee the people who are tipping you just payed INSANE AMOUNTS of price gouge, fees, everything before even getting to tip you. The dashers themselves, get the left over scraps after these huge industries have their money.
I know the whole point of my post Friday was saying don’t get disappointed and to be nice and understanding… and I promise to you I did all that just like every day and I take 100% PRIDE in my job I have chosen and it has been a part of me for 2 whole years.
(I doordash 7 days a week for 8-12hrs a day and I haven’t taken a day off since like November I think)
I doordashed Friday in the snow for an entire 17 hours…. (Also worked the entire “ice storm” a few days prior) And I made $164 Friday …. Spent $30ish in gas….. i made a total of $130ish … Our bgmu bill is $321 and I was depending on Friday to pay that … but that’s what I get for still working for DoorDash… but Im sure I would’ve gotten more if DOORDASH ITSELF WASNT SO EXPENSIVE!!! Or other dashers giving customers horrible past experiences ….
I take wayyyy too much pride in my job, take way too many hours from my family, and way too many miles on my cars for my employer to pay me so so so little AND most of the time my customers don’t even know the dedicated hard working positive person who is delivering to their home because SO MANY DASHERS HAVE RUINED IT FOR US GOOD ONES!!
