After a lot of thought (entirely too much on my part I'm sure 😂), we have made the decision to slightly alter the name of our farm. I have never felt like the "homestead" label really fit us due to the fact that we are a mixture of commercial farming, striving towards being more self-sufficient, regenerative agricultural practices, and a small family farm. We both wear LOTS of hats. We finally settled on Two Rivers Farmstead.

A homestead is focused on generally smaller acreage and self-sufficiency. A Farmstead on the other hand typically has more commercial farming mixed in and fits us way better.

This link explains it better than I do I think.

I am offering a rare opportunity to own some beautiful bantam females!

These are mottled and blue mottled D'uccles. I have some blue pullets and 1 year old black mottled hens looking for new roosts.

These are my kids' favorite breed by far. They are so entertaining (even how they walk is fun), small sized, decent layers, and easy to befriend (especially with treats).

These are extremely hard to come by in this part of the USA. My original parent stock was purchased from breeders in Georgia and Florida. As far as I know I am the only one that breeds them in central MN and possibly MN in general. No hatcheries carry these that I was able to find. I searched for 2 years to find them closer, but finally broke down and bought them from a couple great breeders in the southern USA.

I can't keep all of them, so some need new homes. ♥️

Ermine Ameraucana and Ermine OE and EE chicks ready to go! I am pretty much done hatching but I have a few broody mommas that are overachievers and cannot raise the 20ish chicks I let them have, so I am willing to part with some of them.

Cutting back on a few hens including my splash and blue Ameraucanas. I am going to be focusing on the black and Ermine for the foreseeable future.

4-6 young Ameraucana hens looking for homes. 2 splash, 2-3 blue, and one black.

Things are getting crowded around here with all the grow-outs and I have 10 broodies currently raising chicks allllllll over the place.

You will never get tired watching these little ones bounce around. My kids favorite breed of birds by far.

Great fun for kids, good for smaller spaces, cute as a button with adorable personalities.

They may be small birds, but their moms have been consistent layers for being "ornamental". They make an omelette, just need a few more of them than your average large fowl breeds to get enough 😜

The one on the bottom is nearly full grown and being held by my 5 year old. She loves her "mini-chickens". ❤️

Blue, Black, and Splash laced red Wyandotte chicks ready to go! I've got about 18 newly hatched.

Aren't his ears just darling? It's a shame ALL of our lambs are male this year, so growing the flock naturally isn't happening this year I guess. 🤦 Watching these little boogers bounce around like fluffy popcorn balls is great!

No, she didn't give birth to all these babies!

This ewe is the "nanny" 🤣 All the babies surround her while their moms are eating, not just her 2.

Got the lambs and Ewes out in the little bit of sun we have had. Hopefully the weather is better this weekend to get them out on some good grass.

How do I know spring is here? It's "pterodactyl" screaming weather 😂. Currently 5 broodies raising chicks I hatched and put under them. Good broodies are worth their weight in gold. Bad broodies are a pain in the rear.

1 nice sized ram lamb on the ground. Impatiently waiting for the other mommas. ❤️ He was nursing within 15 minutes of birth before momma could even drop the afterbirth. Good strong baby. Momma's eating, drinking, and loving on her baby.
