I am a little late making this post....
Thank you to everyone who sent condolences to our family when we lost our sweet Masie girl. It's been hard and she is missed.

To all the wonderful people on our "potential buyers list " waiting for a puppy, it breaks my heart to say that unfortunately, that isn't going to happen. With Masie gone and our other dogs being 10 & 11 years old, puppies are no longer possible. I especially hate to disappoint the several families that were waiting on their 2nd or 3rd Stillwater Acres pup, we thank you for trusting us to help you find the right pup for you AGAIN!
The family I hate to disappoint most is our own. We had always planned to keep a Masie × Trooper pup, with Masie being the granddaughter of our Josie & Max, a Masie × Trooper puppy would have given us a pup that had a part of all 4 of our beloved Anatolians.

We still love hearing about and seeing updates on our puppies of the past, as your dog will always be "one of ours" . Our family truly loved and enjoyed this chapter of our family farm and will miss loving on packs of pups! 🐾

It was a heartbreaking morning here at Stillwater Acres. Today we were unexpectedly forced to say goodbye to our Masie Gale. We don't know what happened overnight, but she left our farm and was fatally hit on the road. Masie has always guarded the north half of our farm. She has only left the farm a few times in her 5 short years and she has always went north/northwest when she did leave. This time she apparently crossed to the south end of the farm crossed the frozen river on our southern border and then made her way across a neighbor's farm & out onto the road.
We assume she was pursuing a threat, but that doesn't explain why she was alone. She & Trooper are rarely apart and Josie & Max are vigilant about guarding the south half of the farm.
Masie is our "young" pup. We were not ready to loose her. With Max & Trooper recently turning 10 & Josie days away from turning 11, we were aware that loosing beloved dogs was on the horizon, but never expected it to be Masie first.

"The Mighty Mase!" You will be missed! You were our "snuggle puppy" you loved to cuddle and were happy to be a lap dog (even though you were way too big for our laps), you were an outstanding guardian, a playful ball of energy. and an awesome Momma dog to our litters E & F. The way you taught & trained your pups was something we all enjoyed watching. You left big paw prints on our hearts. Rest easy Masie girl.

Happy 10th Birthday Trooper!
He's such a lovable guy! (Too lovable to get a good picture of because he's usually right next to me)

Love all 4 of our Anatolians! Little sad that 3 of them have now reached double digits in age.

Unfortunately we will not be getting any Masie x Trooper puppies this winter. To all of you who have been reaching out hoping for a pup, we are sorry to say it didn't happen this time. Just so you are aware, Masie will not go into heat until May/June 2026.
Our family was really hoping for puppy cuddles this winter and many of you were looking forward to puppy pictures! So here's a look back at some of Masie & Troopers beautiful pups of the past.
To those of you on our potential buyers list, I will keep your contact info and reach out next year if we get pups then, but also wanted to let you all know in case you don't want to wait to find your next livestock guardian.
